
Hailing the Mizo National Front (MNF) as a regional party that stand for the development of Mizoram and Mizo tribesmen, MNF Vice President R. Tlanghmingthanga said that all Mizos are MNF by birth.
“MNF has originally brought under its sphere all people who are Mizo by birth and it is a matter of regret that some people are still not conscious of the coming to Mizo Hnam Run and join the MNF,” R. Tlanghmingthanga said while addressing a political session at Mizo Hnam Run today.
He said that all Mizos are warmly welcome to Mmizo Hnam Run.
He recollects that MNF founder Laldenga did not want the word “party” to be mixed with MNF. However, it has to be called MNF party because we want to contest election, he added.
Meanwhile, a statement issued by MNF today said that its party president Zoramthanga inducted 20 new voers fromo ZNP into the MNF during the political session.
Lalremliana, a ZNP worker who newly joined MNF said that he could not repose faith in the leadership of ZNP led by its Chief Lalduhoma as the influence of the ZNP is increasingly declining. “I closely studied the MNF’s Socio-Economic Development Policy (SEDP) and found that it is worth trusting for sustainable development of the people.
“As per news report, I also believe that MNF is a key party to win majority in the next assembly elections. It is because of all these reasons that I finally decided to join the MNF to add fuel to its powers,” T.Lalremliana was quoted as saying by the statement.
Revenue Minister R. Romawia inaugurates settlement office building
Revenue Minister R. Romawia inaugurated Settlement Office, Land Revenue Office Building at New Capital Complex on Tuesday. JH Rothuama, MLA, Chairman NLUP implementing Board also graced the programme as the chief of honour.
Speaking during the inaugural function, R. Romawia said that Revenue Department is an important department. He further clarified and said that it is the department that maintain and safeguard Mizoram record on revenue and its related subjects.
He also said that since the main responsibilities of department workers are to maintain the record book and constant communication with the public, it is imperative that the workers do their job cautiously with reliability to avoid problems.
Meanwhile, he also stated that it is joyful that a new office building is being constructed.
He further urged the workers at Revenue Aizawl District office to maintain the building with cleanliness and to have unity amongst them for development.
Meanwhile also speaking on the occasion Chief of honour J.H. Rothuama said that it is delight that revenue department is collecting land tax with proper rules and regulation in Mizoram. He also stated that for better safekeeping it is crucial to digitize the records.
In the meantime, he also urged the attendees to continue the good work for the development of the state.
According to an official, the construction of settlement office, Land revenue & settlement, Aizawl district office new building started on 25.5.2010 and completed it on 16.9.2015. The six storeys high new office building constructed with the budget of Rs. 311.75 lakhs, an official added.
Protest prohibited at high security areas
As per the section 144, under Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, Aizawl District Magistrate issued a notification that to organize a protest, gathering 5 people and above, organizing public meeting, dharna, rally, hunger strike and others are all strictly prohibited at Mcdonald Hill, Zarkawt and its surroundings, between Zarkawt Traffic Point and Hrangbana College.
This order is imposed at the Chief Minister Office and Bungalow, Zarkawt area.
The prohibition order will not include the activities of Police, government, churches, schools and college.
