Imphal, June 19 (NENA): Intensifying the crackdown against substance abuse, the Manipur police today pulled up 17 persons including six women at North AOC, Imphal during bust.
The drive was conducted by a team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Priyadarshini Laishram under the supervision of Superintendent of Police, Imphal West around 4:30 pm.
The police said one activist belonging to the Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) was also arrested during the drive.
The KRA activist identified as Cliff Khailun Haokip, 35, son of late Haokhongam Haokip, is a resident of Pihang village in Kamjong district.
Four demand letters of the outfit were also seized from his possession, the police said, adding that the demand letters were supposed to serve to officers from various government departments to raise fund for the outfit.
Members of ACDC, which has been launching an intense drive against substance abuse at North AOC, helped the police in the drug bust.
